The 1.5 million ton coniferous pulp and broadleaf pulp project of Kaimi Biological Products Factory of Fenlin Group is about to be put into operation

The existing production lines of the Kemi Integrated Chemical Plant of Finlin Group are about to shut down, preparing for the final production of the new project. This is the largest investment project in Finnish forestry history to date, including the expansion of the new Kemi Biological Products Factory and Kemi Paperboard Factory.
The shutdown will begin on Sunday, September 10, 2023, with the goal of fully starting production at the new factory by September 20, 2023.
The work carried out before the new factory is put into operation will ensure the smooth and safe launch of the factory.
During the shutdown period, the existing wood pulp factory will be safely shut down, new investment equipment for the cardboard factory will begin to operate, and the integration and connection between the new biological product factory and the cardboard factory will be finally completed.
The new Kemi Biological Products Factory will produce approximately 1.5 million tons of coniferous pulp, broadleaf pulp, and many other biological products annually, including 2 terawatt hours of renewable electricity.
The factory has world-class production, environmental, and energy efficiency.
Despite a significant increase in production capacity, the factory's emissions are still below the current environmental permit limits of the existing Kemi pulp plant.
Kaimi cardboard factory has made investment in updating related equipment and key bottleneck areas, increasing the annual production capacity of Bainiuka products by about 40000 tons.
The new investment will reduce the water consumption for per ton of paper production by 40% and the energy consumption for per ton of paper by 5%.
